Project Colombia

In the Amazon region, the project will provide sustainable economic alternatives to indigenous people of the Puinave and Curripaco tribes, thereby enabling them to stay within their communities and maintain their culture. Additionally, the project will explore so far unknown aspects of the biology of these threatened stingless bee species to foster their conservation.

On 2 July 2014, Prof. Dr. Alexandra Torres from Columbia met with Ricola in Basel to sign the agreement for collaboration over the coming years.
